It’s been months since Jio has launched for public. Reliance Jio welcomed every new customer with their welcome plan which is unlimited data, texts and calls for three months. Welcome plan was expected to end on December 31, which now has been rescheduled to December 3 for existing users by TRAI.
Apparently, the welcome offer will only be valid if you purchase and activate Jio SIM before 3rd December. Post this date, Jio’s tariff plans will come into effect, which is still pretty competitively priced compared to any other network operator in the market. If you want to take all the benefits from Jio, then you have to avail it before December 3. If you manage to do it then, you can get the free benefits until the December 31st.
What you really get out of welcome offer?
Earlier everything was unlimited i.e unlimited text, call, wifi and data but now, welcome offer has limitations, which includes 100 per day texts (limited) and Unlimited high-speed internet which has a 4GB usage cap, after exhaustion of usage cap the speed will be lowered to 2G. A Lot of reports (Speedtest.net) stated that Jio’s 4G speed are lowering down which could probably be due to numerous number of users and the frequency of users accessing the network.
