Xiaomi has announced Redmi 4 Prime alongside Redmi 4 and Redmi 4A. The Redmi 4 Prime has arrived to replace the highly popular Redmi 3S Prime. Here is a detailed comparison between Redmi 4 Prime and 3S Prime.

Design
Both the smartphones sports metal unibody design and come in color choices of dark gray, silver and gold. The Redmi 3S Prime measures 139.3 x 69.6 x 8.5 mm and weighs 144 grams whereas the Redmi 4 Prime measures 141.3 x 69.6 x 8.9 mm and weighs 156 grams.
Display
The Redmi 3S Prime and Redmi 4 Prime both feature 5-inch IPS LCD screen. However, Redmi 4 Prime offers a Full HD(1080p) resolution with 2.5D curved glass whereas the Redmi 3S Prime has an HD(720p) resolution with a flat glass. Both the phones look very similar.

The Redmi 4 Prime is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with Adreno 506 GPU whereas the 3S Prime has Snapdragon 430 Soc clocked at 1.4GHz which is again an octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. Both smartphones have 3GB of RAM and internal storage of 32GB. Both devices support up to 256 GB storage expansion via microSD via Hybrid sim slot (Sim+Sim or Sim+Micro-sd) arrangement.
Camera and Software
The Redmi 4 Prime has a 13-Megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture lens with PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus) and dual-LED flash. The Redmi 3S Prime also has a 13-Megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture lens with PDAF and single LED flash.
Both the smartphones has a 5-Megapixel front-facing camera with full HD video recording capability. Both devices run on the latest MIUI 8 on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and have Fingerprint scanners on their back side.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime and 3S Prime are packed with a same sized battery of 4,100 mAh with fast charging support.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime has been launched at a price of CNY 899 ($133 or ₹9000). The Redmi 3S Prime was also launched with the same pricing. The Redmi 3S Prime is expected to receive price cut as Redmi 4 has arrived with the same price tag.
