The recap highlights all the biggest moments, major events and users interests based on trillions of searches made by Indians on Google this year.

Rio Olympics 2016 emerged as the top trending search query on Google in 2016 followed by the game that shook the world, Pokemon Go and Euro 2016. And talking about the top searched trending people, Donald Trump has acquired the top followed by India’s Silver medalist (Rio Olympics 2016) badminton player PV Sindhu and most irreverently trended string Sonam Gupta (Sonam Gupta bewafa hai).

In case of top trending movies, Salman starred Sultan grabbed the top spot followed by Rajinikanth’s Kabali at the second spot and most controversial movie fo this year Udta Punjab. Addition to that Sushant Singh Rajput was the top trending Bollywood male actor while Disha Patani was the top trending Bollywood female actor.
