2016 has witnessed the unlimited free calling plans and with the launch of Reliance Jio, it was clear than the unlimited tariff plans to please customers, is on its way.


After the launch of Reliance Jio with unlimited voice calls, messages, and no roaming charges, many other telcos joined to save their user base from migrating to Reliance Jio (which bunch full of offers).

Airtel, Idea, and Vodafone Going Unlimited

As listed above, all the three telecom companies have joined the unlimited offer stream and launched pretty much same offer. The offers included unlimited STD/Local calls, 100 free messages, and 4G Data with 50MB of 2G data for basic phones.

BSNL Joins Unlimitedness

BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) came out with a new Rs 144 plan for its customers, which also offers similar plans to what Airtel, Idea, and Vodafone are offering.

The plan offers an unlimited local and STD calls to any network, with a validity of 30 days (1 month) with 300MB of Data. Note, this plan is valid for six months. Go Grab It!

Anupam Srivastava, Chairman and Managing Director, BSNL Said;

The new pack, calls are absolutely free and would be available for both pre-paid and post-paid customers.

40,000 Wi-Fi Hotspots From BSNL

BSNL has also stepped into a Wi-Fi hotspot stream with 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) connectivity which adds an additional flavor. The telecom operator has also launched 4,400 Wi-Fi hotspots across the country.

Anupam Srivastava, Chairman and Managing Director, BSNL Said;

We have 4,400 Wi-Fi hotspots launched country wide. I think in Mahabalipuram near Chennai has a similar Wi-Fi hotspots. Our immediate strategy is to expand this. In next one year, we will be having around 40,000 Wi-Fi Hotspots across the country,” he said. Besides the company had also obtained 2500 Mhz from Government of India for launching service in rural areas.
