Google has launched a mobile data saver app for Android; Google Datally. Google has published an app back in June, called Triangle, which helped users manage their cellular data. Now, the app has left beta and become available globally with a new name called ‘Datally’.
The app will let you understand, control and save mobile data. This app will allow you to track data usage in real time and will also send you personalized recommendations on saving data along with notifications of public WiFi hotspots available nearby.
In addition to that, this app has Data Saver Bubble, which uses a VPN to determine the data usage of every app on your phone and will let you block background data usage on a per-app basis. You can view the data usage hourly, daily, weekly or monthly basis.
Caesar Sengupta, Vice President, Next Billion Users, Google, said:
Mobile data is expensive for many people around the world. And what’s worse, it’s hard to figure out where it all goes. That’s why we built Datally, an app that helps you to control, save more and do more with your data. We’ve been testing Datally in the Philippines for the past few months, and people are saving up to 30 percent on their data.
