After long rumors and leaks, Xiaomi has two new smartphones under Redmi branding; Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus. Both the smartphones feature a full-screen display, run on Android Nougat with MIUI 9 and have a fingerprint sensor on the back.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus
Xiaomi Redmi 5 comes with a 5.7-inch HD+ 18:9 display, while the Redmi 5 Plus features a 5.99-inch FHD+ 18:9 display. The Redmi 5 is powered by Snapdragon 450 SoC, while the 5 Plus comes powered by a Snapdragon 625 SoC.
Coming to the camera, both the smartphone sports a 12-megapixel rear camera with 1.25μm pixel sensor and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with selfie flash. The 5 is backed by a 3300mAh battery, while the 5 Plus is backed by a 4000mAh battery.
