Instagram Added Snapchat Like Feature, Notifies If Someone Takes Screenshot

Instagram is been adding a lot of features to enhance the user experience and also been blamed for copying features from Snapchat, features like Instagram stories, filters and now screenshot notification.


Yes! Instagram in their latest update notifies you when your friends take screenshot your Direct Messages (DM) just like Snapchat. However, the notifications are only for the new disappearing message feature.

Instagram Statement; 

Unlike other messages in Direct, these photos and videos disappear from your friends’ inboxes after they have seen them. And you will see if they replayed it or took a screenshot.



How To Use?

Well, to use this feature, you can swipe right into the camera to take a photo or video, then tap the arrow to send it privately to your friend (other users). You can choose a group and can also send to individual friends at the same time.

Adding to this, you can take a screenshot of your own feed and there will be a pop saying,”You can share this post with your friends”.
