BlackBerry Aurora With 5.5″ Display, Snapdragon 425, 4GB RAM Announced

After a long leak saga, BlackBerry has finally unveiled their next budget-end smartphone, BlackBerry Aurora. This smartphone has been rumored since the BlackBerry KEYone released at MWC in Barcelona.




BB Merah Putih – which holds the license for making, marketing, and selling BlackBerry-branded smartphones in Indonesia – has officially announced the BlackBerry Aurora.

The smartphone packs decent specs inside. It has a 5.5-inch 720 display (which is a bummer), powered by Snapdragon 425 chipset, paired with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. Camera wise it has a 13-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone run on Android 7.0 Nougat and a 3000mAh battery.

BlackBerry Aurora comes in three color options- Black, Silver, and Gold, priced at IDR 3,499,000 (which is roughly around US$260 and Rs 17400). Currently, the pre-orders at “various online e-commerce in Indonesia” and the pre-order period ends March 12. There is no word on when the smartphone will be available to other parts of the world.
