HTC Breeze With 5.5-Inch 18:9 Display Will Be An Entry Level; Leaks

HTC Breeze is not the codename of high-end smartphone from the Taiwanese, but an entry-level smartphone. Thanks to the popular tipster Evleaks (@evleaks), we now have specifications of the smartphone.

HTC Breeze: Entry Level Smartphone

The Breeze will come with a 5.5-inch display (no resolution spec for now) with 18:9 aspect ratio, powered by MediaTek SoC, coupled with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, runs on Android Oreo (mostly) and all these are backed by a 2730mAh battery.

HTC’s got an upcoming 5.5″ phone, Breeze (second time as HTC codename), that’s mostly notable for pushing full screen, 18:9 aspect ratio down to entry level. Therefore specs are nothing special (Mediatek SoC, 2/16GB, 13/5MP, 2730mAh, etc), and it should be priced to reflect that.

In addition to that, it will come with 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. All these specs clearly indicate that this is a fairly low-powered smartphone, which obviously means that this is nonetheless a budget-end smartphone.

Recently, another HTC spotted on Geekbench, named HTC 2Q5W1 (which doesn’t coincide with Breeze), with a Snapdragon 625 SoC and 3GB of RAM. It is pretty clear that HTC is planning to try different handsets this year, not only the successor of its flagship HTC U11 and the variants.
