The major reason why companies are focusing more on AI is its self-learning capabilities. Artifical Intelligence adapts to a users lifestyle and helps improve both the performance and efficiency of smartphones. Furthermore, launching a new smartphone every year with a slight increment in hardware doesn’t make sense. Hence, companies innovate and spend both time and money to improvise AI on their smartphones.
AI helps smartphones in multiple aspects. The first and foremost improvement is in the smartphones camera capabilities. Yes, there is an improvement in hardware but we can’t deny the importance of AI in improvising smartphone cameras. AI smartly detects the scene and adjusts the camera settings to deliver results that we admire.
MIUI 10 also smartly implements AI to increase the performance of even those smartphones that were launched a year ago. The Custom Skin tracks a users smartphone usage pattern and then caches the frequently used application to load apps faster and even kills the un-noticed applications that consume resources in the background. Hence, it’s AI that improves the performance of smartphones.

Addressing the issue of Android phones slowing down, Huawei’s R&D team, led by some of the world’s leading experts unveiled EMUI 8.2, software that is tightly integrated with the Kirin chipset to take full advantage of Huawei’s strengths in both software and hardware.
GPU Turbo
Huawei’s GPU Turbo is a graphics processing acceleration technology that re-architects how graphics are processed on the system level for revolutionary performance and efficiency improvement.
This latest technology will allow users to enjoy 4D gaming experience ensuring real-time image and sound recognition, and intelligent game vibrations. It will boost graphics performance by around 60 percent while reducing the energy consumption by around 30 percent
