DJI teased the upcoming VR headset (which could change the way we look at our drones) at the launch of Mavi Pro drone last year. Well, the company came out with its new product called DJI Goggles. Yes, much like it sounds, you can wear this headset to control your drone (isn’t that amazing?), and moreover, it will really help beginners.
The DJI Goggles (apparently a headset) is designed to help fly DJI products. The Goggles bring in large ultra-high quality screens, low-range, low lag wireless connectivity and direct control of photo and video capture. This also features Flight modes like ActiveTrack, TapFly, Terrain Follow, Cinematic Mode and Tripod mode.
The Goggle has 2K screens inside i.e 1920×1080 resolution per eye from two 5-inch display with 16:9 image ratio, which offers 720p@30fps, 720p@60fps, and 1080p@30fps with a very low latency of just 110ms. It comes with a touchpad for easy navigation, a headphone jack, a microSD card slot, HDMI and microUSB ports.
Up to four Goggles can be connected to Mavic Pro simultaneously. DJI claims that the Goggle can deliver six hours of battery life from a 9,440mAh battery. The DJI Goggles are going up for pre-orders today for US$449 and is set to start ship in late May.
