As expected, Microsoft announced its fifth generation Surface Pro 2017 (2-in-1) at its Shanghai event. With the introduction of a new Surface Pen, improved battery life, and a full 165-degree range of motion hinge, it was just called the Surface Pro (as rumored).

Microsoft Surface Pro 2017
The Surface Pro packs a 12.3-inch display with 267ppi, 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera and is powered by the latest seventh-generation Kaby Lake processors.
Microsoft promises up to 13.5 hours of battery life, which the company says is 50% more than Surface Pro 4 and 35% more battery life than Apple’s iPad Pro. It has 2.5 times more computing performance than the Surface Pro 3 and 1.7 times of iPad Pro.

Surface Pro 2017 Features
It has a 165-degree range of motion hinge, which is apparently inspired by Surface Studio. Mircosoft also added 4G LTE option, which will be available later this year. Not to mention, it is also the lightest Surface Pro ever, with just 768g and 8.5mm thin.
Microsoft has also added a new Surface Pen with 4,096 pressure points and new inking capabilities in Office apps and added a new Signature Type Cover for faster and accurate typing with 1.3mm of key travel.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 2017 starts at US$799.99 (roughly equals Rs 51,840 approx) and goes up to US$2,699 (roughly equals Rs 1,74,975 approx) for the top-end variant with the i7 processor and 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD. The Signature Type Cover is priced at $129 (Rs. 8,360 approx) and the new Surface Pen costs $99 (Rs. 6,415 approx). No word on LTE version yet. The Pre-orders already started and will ship on June 15th in 26 countries.
