Google has started teasing the launch event date for its upcoming Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 smartphones. Yesterday, a huge billboard has hinted that the search engine giant would be holding a launch event on October 4. Well, now it’s legit.
According to The Verge, the company has sent out press invitations for the October 4 launch event in San Francisco starting at 9 AM PT and 12 PM ET. Google has posted a video both on YouTube channel and on its Twitter feed and there’s a landing page live too.
Well, if you look closely, Google is hinting that the next-generation Pixel phones would be offering a longer battery life, abundant storage space, impressive cameras, smarter Google Assistant and snappy performance.
Google thinks you should wait until October 4, to see what it has to offer. The timing of this announcement isn’t coincidental, as Apple will start taking pre-orders for the new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus from today.
