OnePlus 5 To Be Discontinued

In an interview with The Indian Express, the General Manager of OnePlus India – Vikas Aggarwal gave us an insight of what will happen to OP5 and why did company released 5T so soon. He also confirmed that the OP5’s fate will same as OnePlus3’s: discontinuation.

If you look at our previous phone, the OnePlus 3T the last batch was sold out during Diwali and now the product will be discontinued. The same goes for the OnePlus 5, which will also be sold out in sometime, and we’ll have only one product – OnePlus 5T – in the market.

Aggarwal said that the changes on the 5 are not significant enough to classify itself as a whole new product. Although, 5T is just a variant, but it offers a better display, apparently improving the overall experience on the phone.
