Raspberry Pi has a lot of different models and all the models are one or the other relatable. Well, for instance, the new Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Plus might have a similar name, but it is a clear upgrade over Raspberry Pi 3 Model B which was launched back in 2016.

The new board has a slightly faster 1.4 GHz quad-core processor, Bluetooth 4.2 (an upgrade from 4.1), and dual-band WiFi. It uses LAN7515, which supports Gigabit Ethernet. It uses a magjack that supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), which brings relevant signals to a new 4-pin header.

The new Pi’s WiFi has “modular compliance certification,” which means if developers use this Pi hardware in their final product, they won’t face any issues while getting the WiFi certified by regulators. The existence of dual-band WiFi on a Raspberry Pi is an added bonus.

There is not much of a change in the new Pi, apart from the internal enhancements, the plugs and form factor remains same, which means that it should work just fine with existing Pi cases and accessories. The pricing remains same viz USD 35 (roughly INR 2,270).
