Well, even Nokia launched the Nokia 8 Sirocco. It didn’t gain enough attention during MWC 2018, but it’s definitely a premium and powerful smartphone. So here’s a detailed comparison between these two flagship offerings.

Nokia 8 Sirocco offers a premium body with a stainless steel frame coupled with Front/back Gorilla Glass 5. If you have any nostalgic feelings with Nokia, then this device will impress you. Nokia 8 Sirocco has a 5.5 inches P-OLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and 16:9 screen to body ratio. The display is bright and clear and has negligible bezels.

On the other hand, Galaxy S9 offers somewhat similar design ergonomics as its predecessor, Galaxy S8. You get an appealing body with an aluminum frame, and Gorilla Glass 5 both on the front and back side. Nokia 8 Sirocco comes with a year old, yet powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octa-Core processor coupled with Adreno 540 GPU. The device comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD. Nokia 8 Sirocco is a powerful smartphone and you can expect flawless performance as it runs a nearly close to Android UI.

Galaxy S9 runs on either Qualcomm SDM845 Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9810 Octa-Core processor. These two variants come with either Mali-G72 MP18 or Adreno 630 GPU. The camera supports dual pixel phase detection autofocus, 2x optical zoom and comes with Carl Zeiss optics. The smartphone also offers a 5 MP (f/2.0, 1.4 µm) front-facing camera.

Samsung Galaxy S9 easily outperforms Nokia 8 Sirocco, in terms of camera performance. Galaxy S9 offers a 12 MP sensor with a variable aperture (f/1.5-2.4). This camera has OIS, dual pixel phase detection autofocus and powerful video recording capabilities at 2160p@60fps, 1080p@240fps, and 720p@960fps.
