Xiaomi introduced the latest version of MIUI at the Mi 8 launch event- MIUI 10. This custom skin is based on Android 8.1 Oreo, offering dozens of additional features coupled with ease of customization. So, here are the five new best features of the MIUI 10.

1. Driving Mode
Driving mode is a helpful feature. It allows users to use their smartphones safely while driving. The driving mode relies on Xiao AI voice assistant to control the smartphone in a car. Well, the driving mode can help users in navigation or replying to the messages without touching the phone.
2. New Gestures And Taskbar
MIUI 10 also comes with an excellent collection of gestures. These gestures help users to use and navigate on their smartphones easily. Lastly, these gestures completely eliminate the need for the virtual navigation buttons.
Xiaomi has wholly redesigned its recent applications section. The new design is more space efficient and completely utilizes the taller screen to body ratio of various Xiaomi smartphones.

3. AI-Based Camera
Xiaomi has started focusing on AI to improve camera performance, rather than slightly incrementing the hardware each year. It will be beneficial for smartphones that have a single sensor, as they can get features like portrait mode with the help of AI. Consequently, the camera performance of most Xiaomi smartphones will have a significant improvement.
4. Smart Home Integration
With MIUI 10, you can easily control almost any Xiaomi consumer electronics with the help of your smartphone. This feature will also support voice commands. Well, smart home integration also relies on AI. Xiaomi is indirectly developing its ecosystem, this will be beneficial for end-users.

Xiaomi has used AI to its full potential in the MIUI 10. MIUI 10 monitors a users phone usage pattern and loads the most used applications automatically. It lowers the resource consumptions. MIUI 10 stores apps in cache memory according to the user’s preference. In simple words AI makes the phone run smoothly and helps reduce the load on hardware.

MIUI 10 will be available as a public beta from late June for Mi 8, Mi MIX 2S and Redmi Note 5. Apart from that these smartphones will get MIUI 10 in the upcoming months.
