Google And Artificial Intelligence, Where Are We Going? [TDAnalysis]

Artificial Intelligence 1

AI (Artificial Intelligence) definitely brings a lot of improvement in our daily life and no denying a new horizon to our smartphone experience. The benefits of AI has forced major smartphone manufacturers to focus more on software processing rather than slightly incrementing the hardware each year. AI also facilitates a more realistic and uninterrupted interaction between human beings and machines.

Google + Artifical Intelligence

Google has played a major role in the development and application of AI in the recent years. At Google IO 2018, we witnessed Google Assistant interacting with a human being, that in itself is the biggest technological leap in the smartphone industry. Well, the technology named Google Duplex that makes these interactions possible will be soon available to every Android user.

In other scenarios, Google Pixel 2 offers probably one of the best smartphone cameras, the smartphone achieved a DXO rating of 98 and that too with a single sensor, which is a big deal. The smartphone relies on AI that makes the camera more capable and offers impressive results despite limiting hardware. The software processes the images based on the information gathered by AI to offer better results.

We have another product from Google, dubbed Google Lens that helps you to get relatable information from the internet, based on the object you point the camera (of your smartphone) without any hassle of going to the web and searching for it.

The technology that helps Google Lens to recognize objects can be implemented in robots and consumer electronics so they can easily interact with human beings. Consequently, impacting the mankind.

Artifical Intelligence: Capabilities And Its Future

The most significant feature of AI is its self-learning capabilities. The most appropriate example of this is Google Magenta. The project is a creative integration between music and Artificial Intelligence. Similarly, we can allow AI and Machine learning tools to learn, recognize and create an entirely new trait. Even robots like Sophia rely on AI for a better understanding of the human world.

According to Adobe, today just 15% of enterprises are using AI but 31% said it is on the agenda for the next 12 months. Well, that’s a huge increment in just a year. In a survey by BrightEdge says: “When asked about the next big marketing trend, survey respondents identified consumer personalization (29%), AI (26%), and voice search (21.23%). These top three responses, which total 75% of all AI applications, demonstrate that AI is more pervasive and prominent than respondents realize.”

Artifical Intelligence

In a survey of over 1,600 marketing professionals, 61%, regardless of company size, pointed to machine learning and AI as their company’s most significant data initiative for next year. Furthermore, Voice assistants are being incorporated into a wide range of consumer products; nearly half of U.S. adults (46%) said they now use these applications to interact with smartphones and other devices.

Artificial Intelligence 3

Furthermore, according to Pega, consumers use more AI than they realize. While only 33% think they use AI-enabled technology, 77% actually use an AI-powered service or device. These facts and figures clearly depict that AI will become a helping-hand for human beings. AI will help save us loads of time. That said, as suggested by the theme of most science fictions AI may also get out of control of human beings and trouble us in multiple ways.
