The new sensor comes with an upgraded processor, which enables it for a slightly expanded ISO range of 50 to 50,000, 4K video recording at 24 and 30 frames per second, and 1080p video at up to 120 frames per second, while still maintaining the snappy performance, continuous shooting, and autofocus. In addition to that, the Q2 is equipped with the same 28mm f/1.7 optically stabilized lens as before, but the new sensor allows great flexibility to crop without losing the quality. The German camera maker has added a new 75mm digital framing crop, along with 35mm and 50mm options that were available on its predecessor. According to the company, even with the 75mm crop, the Q2 can still offer a 7-megapixel image.

Externally, the camera looks identical to that of its predecessor (viz Leica Q), but if you look closely, the company has done a variety of tweaks starting from changing button placements, dials, to power switches. The Q2 also uses Bluetooth LE and Wi-Fi to connect to a phone for image transfer. Mind you, there are no ports for USB, HDMI, or any other output on the body of the camera.

This protection will not allow you to submerge the camera but will give you peace of mind, if you want to shoot outdoor in a slight rain shower. Speaking of highlight, the Q2 has larger (upgraded) battery and the company claim to have to achieve 30 percent better battery life than before.
