Panasonic Lumix S1 And Lumix S1R Mirrorless Camera Launched In India

Panasonic has launched its latest full-frame mirrorless camera under Lumix S series in India, as announced earlier. The Lumix S series comprised of Panasonic Lumix S1 and S1R is based on the L-Mount standard and comes with 24 megapixel and 47.3 megapixels full-frame CMOS sensor respectively.

Panasonic Lumix S1 And Lumix S1R Mirrorless Camera

Both Lumix S1 and S1R sports a hybrid camera with 24-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor (35.6mm x 23.8mm) and a High-Resolution mode lets you click 96-megapixel ultra-high precision photo with a pixel shift technology shooting. Apart from photography, the Lumix S1 supports professional use in videography as well.

The Panasonic Lumix S1R marked its entry in still photography segment. The S1R integrates a 47.3-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor (36mm x 24mm). The sensor has the ability to achieve a high S/N ratio by taking advantage of its high light-condensing efficiency despite a large number of pixels.

Furthermore, Lumix S1R features a High-Resolution mode for the first time as a mirrorless full-frame camera to enable 187-megapixel ultra-high precision photo with a pixel shift technology shooting.

Panasonic has achieved a high-speed AF with its advanced control technology over the major devices – lens, sensor, and imaging engine. The lens and sensor communicate at a maximum of 480 fps. Combining the Contrast AF with DFD technology, the LUMIX S1R/S1 realizes an ultra-high-speed, high-precision AF of approximately 0.08 sec*1.

The Lumix S1/S1R also boasts high-speed burst shooting at 9 fps (AFS) or 6 fps (AFC). Well, Panasonic has used deep learning to study a large number of images of people and animals and loaded the resulting AI intro Venus engine. The Lumix S1 and S1R Real View Finder boast 5,760k-dot resolution. The 0.78x magnification ratio can be switched to 0.7x or 0.74x according to the shooting situation. Apart from that, the company has introduced three new interchangeable lenses especially focusing on professional use.

The L-Mount will allow photographers to ‘mix and match’ any of the three manufacturers’ APS-C and full-frame cameras with any lens from each other’s product portfolios.

The Panasonic Lumix S1 is priced at Rs. 1,99,990 and with 24-105mm F4 lens it will be Rs. 2,67,990. While the Lumix S1R is priced at Rs. 2,99,990 for the body and with 24-105mm F4 lens it will be Rs. 3,67,990.
