Lenovo ThinkPad X1 With 4K HDR Display, Coffee Lake Processor And Nvidia Graphics Announced

Lenovo announced ThinkPad X1 at IFA 2018 in Berlin. This new introduction will take on Dell’s XPS 15 and Apple’s MacBook Pro with its design, power pack performance and the fact that it is lighter than both of its competitor coming at just 1.7kg.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1: A Lot To Take On!

The new ThinkPad X1 comes with a 15.6-inch FHD IPS display or a 4K IPS display with HDR and Dolby Vision support, powered by 8th generation (Coffee Lake) Intel Core i7 processor, up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM, up to 2TB of PCIe SSD storage and Windows 10 Pro. There separate ThinkPad X1 Extreme with Intel Core i9 processor will also be available in December.

The X1 packs in Nvidia’s GeForce 1050 Ti (the MaxQ version) GPU, which will let you play a lot of modern games. Not just that, it will also help with photo editing, video processing, and even VR gaming. Apart from that, Lenovo is using dual-fans for cooling, has the usual ThinkPad keyboard with a fingerprint reader at the side.

The ThinkPad X1 also comes with Windows Hello camera (log into the operating system with just your face) that is covered with the ThinkShutter camera cover. Furthermore, the X1 comes with an 80Whr battery with Lenovo’s own Lenovo’s RapidCharge technology. Unlike Apple, the ThinkPad X1 includes two USB 3.1 ports (one for power), two Thunderbolt 3-compatible USB ports, an SD reader, and an HDMI 2.0 port.
