Xiaomi Mi Router 4A And 4A Gigabit Edition 802.11ac Dual-Band Routers Announced

Xiaomi has announced Mi Router 4A in China. It is an upgrade to the Mi Router 4, which was recently launched. Well, along with 4A, there’s also a Gigabit Edition with having 1GBps LAN speed as a choice.

Xiaomi Mi Router 4A And 4A Gigabit Edition

The Mi Router 4A is an upgraded version of Mi Router 3C which was introduced a couple of years back. The Mi Router 4A offers 300Mbps 802.11n, powered by MediaTek MT7628DA, coupled with 64MB DDR3, paired with 16MB ROM and up to 64 devices can connect at a time.

Coming to the Gigabit Edition, it can push out 1GBps LAN speeds, thanks to its faster processor (880MHz MT7621A MIPS Dual-Core), coupled with 128MB DDR3 RAM, coupled with 16MB ROM, and up to 128 devices can connect at a time. It offers better heat dissipation with an aluminum base with several holes.

Both the routers offer real-time monitoring, parental controls with Mi WiFi app on Android and iOS. Not just that, both these have IPV6 support that will be available via an update in June.

The Xiaomi Mi Router 4A comes in White color, and is priced at 119 Yuan (~US$ 17.7 / Rs. 1,235), while the Gigabit Edition is priced at 169 Yuan (~US$ 25 / Rs. 1,750). It will go on sale in China starting from March 19th.
